Fibre Laser Engraving: Our Technologies

At metalone.eu, we understand that details are paramount in metal processing. Whether it's serial production labels, precise marking of tool steels, or engraving a logo onto aluminium components, our customers expect one hundred percent accuracy and durability.

That's why for industrial marking, we rely on fibre lasers. To deliver a top-tier result promptly, we utilise machines assembled from the finest components available on the market. What exactly constitutes a professional engraving laser, and why is it so precise? Let's take a look under the hood of our technologies.

Components that Guarantee Quality

Micrometre precision is no accident. It is the result of the perfect interplay of several key components.

Machine Component

Function

Benefit for Your Product

Laser Source

Generates the laser beam within the optical fibre.

Ensures stable power output, making every single engraved piece in a series absolutely identical.

Galvanometric Head

A mirror system that rapidly directs the beam.

Allows us to engrave at immense speeds, reducing production time and saving your costs.

F-Theta Lens

Focuses the beam onto the working surface.

Guarantees that the engraving is equally sharp in the centre of the component and at its very edge.

Work Table (T-slot)

A robust clamping base for the material.

Eliminates any vibrations, ensuring that even the smallest texts and codes are perfectly legible.

A Detailed Look at Our Technology

The Heart of the Machine: The Laser Generator

An industrial fibre laser does not require glass tubes or mirrors prone to breakage. The beam is generated directly within an optical fibre doped with rare-earth elements. At Metalone, we exclusively use premium sources with a long service life. For you, this translates into certainty – our machines are always ready for operation and can handle high-volume orders without any quality degradation.

The Hands of the Machine: The Extremely Fast Galvo

Conventional CNC machines or CO2 lasers must move their entire heavy head, which slows them down. Our fibre laser only moves a small system of mirrors (the so-called Galvo scanner) within its head. The beam thus "flies" across the metal at speeds of thousands of millimetres per second. The result is a sharp, clean, and exceptionally fast cut.

The Brain of the Machine: Precision Software

Every CAD design, vector-format logo, or list of serial numbers is processed using professional control software. This enables us to precisely adjust the laser's power, frequency, and speed for specific metal types – engraving stainless steel differs from anodised aluminium, and both differ from brass.
